The Ten Commandments of Blogging

Thou shalt be honest with yourself and others, and not bear false witness.

Thou shalt be polite and not offensive.

Thou shalt not involve yourself in Internet kerfuffles.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's ARCs.

Thou shalt not steal content (always link back!)

Thou shalt realise that putting your opinion "out there" means others can comment.

Thou shalt not kill with your words.

Honour all those who helped give you a good start in your blogging life.

Thou shalt realise that all benefits are a privilege and not a right.

Love and respect other bloggers, and treat them as thou would wish to be treated.

  1. Can we have an Amen?! Hallelujah!

Though I think that I've already broken the fourth commandment, because I've definitely coveted others' ARCs!

  2. So shall it be written, so shall it be done!
Excellent list there. Can we combine it into one commandment of 'Thou Shalt Not Troll'?

  3. So mote it be!

Although the coveting thing is very hard - book jealousy is a terrible sin of mine...
