Christmas Come Early - The Biggest Giveaway

Earlier today I confessed to earning a little bit of money with my blogging. I also have a glut of ARCs that I have received in duplicate from various publishers. To me, the obvious solution is to spend a little bit of my spoils on a big old giveaway - share the book love, as it were.

As you'll see, the books come from a variety of different publishers - thereby showing my impartiality *grin*

I am giving away five random bundles. If you want one, please leave a comment stating which one you want and why. Please provide some way of contacting you in your comment so that I can get in touch when the giveaway ends. I will randomise all the people who enter for a particular bundle and there will be one winner for each bundle. Five winners altogether. You can ask for more than one bundle, but please make it very clear which you are asking for in your comment. This is open WORLDWIDE (like I say, sharing the love!) This giveaway will end on 1st December (so plenty of time to enter and pass the word along about it), and that way your bundle - should you be lucky enough to win - will arrive as an early Christmas present!

So, a recap:

1. Drool over the pictures below.

2. Choose your bundle(s).

3. Leave me a comment stating which you want & why!

4. Give me some means of contacting you...

5. Sit back with fingers and toes crossed.

6. Bless me for being a giving Christmas book fairy *grin*

  1. What an excellent idea! I'd love bundle #5 because I've wanted to read Ms. Carriger's work for sometime. Thanks!

  2. I would be highly intersted in bundle 2 or 3. I've always wanted to read more steam punk so bundle 2 appeals heavily although I love fantasy. I'm an aspiring author nearly halfway through my first novel and also working on learning how to blog about books. I've started my own book review blog and follow you to get good ideas on how to do it. Being new I still don't get any ARC's so I can only do my reviews on books I go and buy personally, which is a pain to do;as I'm sure you know. Thanks

  3. Bundle 5 please! I've heard lots of good things about Soulless which I'm dying to read! And I love Christmas fairies^^ Fingers crossed!

  5. Hard to choose since each one contains some interesting reads but I pick #2 because Boneshaker is one book I know I HAVE to read!
    Thanks for sharing your books!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Oh, so many great books... but my pick would be BUNDLE 3, as they're ALL on my 'want to read' list, and I've read (and loved) at least one book in each of the others.

  10. OMG what a giveaway! Firstly, thank you for the chance to enter.

Secondly, I'd pretty much love any of the bundles - I've spotted a couple of books on my wishlist in each one so should I be lucky enough to win I'd love any of them.

  12. Bundle one, please(except for book number four because, obviously, I am book number four, and have no use for extra MEs.)

I have a starving author to support and books are very nutritious, especially on toast.

    Carpet's quite nice too, apparently.

  13. Thanks for the opportunity!
Awesome selection, its hard to choose!

So.... Bundle 5 please. Because I haven't read any of Gail Garriger books and they sound so quirky.

  15. I'd love to try my hand and Bundles #1 and #2. I've heard enough good things about China Miéville to lust for his craft, and I really like Cherie Priest's shenanigans. I'm sure either bundle is made of awesome powder!

  16. I would very much love to be put in the hat for bundle #1, because I'm a starving author and avid bookworm doing seasonal work at an Amazon.com warehouse, and keep seeing copies of Kraken, which is on my wanna-read list. The other three in that bundle look intriguing as well.

  17. Great giveaway! While all the bundles have at least one book that I want to read, bundle 2 has three books that I've really been wanting to read and the fourth book sounds great as well so I'd love to be entered for that one.

  21. OH MAN. Bundle 3! I have been thinking about getting ALL of those and I am desperate to read Black Lung Captain. So desperate it's almost not funny. Also, I have been meaning to try some Barclay for a while, and I haven't had the money for The Thief Taker's Apprentice yet, and Gregory Maguire is another name I keep looking at. So yes. Bundle 3!

  23. I would love either Bundle #3 or #5 - Gregory Maguire is an author I've been wanting to read for quite some time, and the other 3 books in that bundle all look fascinating. Gail Carriger is another author that's been intriguing me, so #5 is also quite appealing.

    What a fun idea!

(My email is on my blog profile - forgot to mention that the first time around.)

  44. This is amazingly generous of you, I love book giveaways!

I can't decide between bundles 1 or 2 though. They both include books by writers I've been meaning to read but just haven't gotten around to yet. I've heard so many good things about China Miéville for example, it's quite embarrassing to not yet have read anything. You could save me from public ridicule! On the other hand I have a friend who has been buzzing about "Farlander" and it would just kill him to know I have an early copy :D

You could say it's your choice between good or evil: Save me from social ostracism or aid me in my sinister plans to taunt a dear acquaintance. ;D

Despite my pleas, the Mrs. and my parents think books don't make good Christmas presents, so I never get what I really want. Any money I'd like to spend on books goes to private school tuition for my two kids, because our public schools are so bad....but my kindergartener is already learning to read and enjoying my beat up copies of "The Book of Three" so he's already catching the fantasy bug, which makes it all worth it---but I can't help wanting to read books of my own. Please send them my way. Thanks.

I would like to be entered for bundle 2. I've heard that boneshaker is meant to be a great book and Farlander would make a cool gift for my little brother who loves these sorts of books.
The ten thousand and the king's bastard have cool covers and sound like they're a good read.

    (good luck to me :)

  102. I would really love to enter for bundle 2, its most in the vein of epic/military fantasy; which is like my epic love, plus steampunk(boneshaker) a subgenre I haven't really had a taste of yet!
Heard alot about Farlander and The Ten Thousand, which I somehow haden't got around to buying.

  103. I'd love bundle 3 or 4: 3, because because of the book titled "Black Lung Captain", and 4 because I've been dying to read Derek Landy's work. :)

  105. I would love a chance at bundle number 1! Why? Because I'm interested to see the quality of R J Frith's book after winning the war of the words competition and I am most curious to compare the suction between a kraken's tentacles and a dyson.

Thanks and keep up the good work with your blog!

  106. Wow! This is a great giveaway. Makes me wish I'd done this with the dozens of fantasy books I moved on last year to make room for more! Anyway - next time. For now, though they all look great, I'd love to be entered for #s 2, 3, 5 please.
Buchanan, Kearney and Daniels are all on my wish list, and I find Barclay fascinating (and love the sound of the thief-takers apprentice too). For group 5 I particularly like the sound of the poison throne. I would happily read of the books.
Thanks for your generousity and I hope santa brings you a pile more too! Contact via the blog or hannah at hasmissions dot co dot uk

  107. Hi Amanda,

Awesome contest... I'd like to participate for bundle #3 or #5. And... you'll be glad to know I'm offering you the chance to ship to Belgium! ;)

    Kindest regards,

  108. That's one hell of a give away!

I'd love to get my hands on Bundle #2 which edges ahead of bundle #1 because I've already got Kraken. I've been meaning to pick up Cherie Priest for absolutely ages but just haven't gotten around to it despite that fact that with it being an alternate history its practically in my mandate to read it!

Also, the other three books have caught my eye on more than one occasion and this would significantly increase the chances of me getting around to reading them in the next 10 years.

You can contact me via the blog, twitter (@laughablefellow) or e-mail: G dot R dot Morgan at hotmail dot co d0t uk (isn't it a shame we have to be so SPAM paranoid!)

  113. I'd love to go in the hat for Bundle #1. 'Kraken' is on my 'must read bt don't yet have' list, and the other three look interesting and are none of them books I already have.

Pretty sure you can click on my name to get my profile but if not I am contactable via twitter as @Marjorie73.

What a lovely, and generous, idea.

  114. Picking between these bundles is like deciding which type of apocalypse you would prefer; each one has its obvious benefits (zombies are slow), but they could come back to bite you in the long run (walk?)

If I had to pick though... Bundle 1. would be a delightfully weird treat.

  115. They all look so good . . . maybe bundle #5 as I am dying to read Soulless and Changeless.

  117. Hi, I'm Gaspar, from Portugal (ggarcao@hotmail.com), an avid reader of Graeme Flory's blog, which lead me here. From your five bundles, i must admit the only one who has a writer known to me is the first bundle (i'm more a Science Fiction reader...). The author is China Mieville,a fantastic writer, and having all of his books except Kraken, i would love to read it! Of course, if i win it, i'll read also the other ones, it's a promise!!!

  118. I would love Bundle 2 - all four books are on my TBR list but Boneshaker and Farlander are also on my Hanukah wishlist.

I'm actually a follower but was sent here by Graeme. Thanks, Graeme!

I'm going for Bundle #2. I'm dying to read Boneshaker but it's not in my library yet and I'm banned from buying any more books. The other books I don't know but I like to broaden my reading experience.

I would be interested in bundle 3 namely because there is nothing out at the moment by my favourite authors and I need some new names to play with or how else can I spend more money?

  130. I would like to be considered for bundle 2 or 3 as they both look like the kind of thing I'm into, I love Fantasy and Steampunk stuff!

The reason I should be considered is because I don't do all that much book reading anymore, this would be a perfect excuse to get back into it.

  134. What an amazing giveaway! Hard choice among the bundles but bundle 2 is definitely the one I really REALLY want. It contains 3 books that are already in my To-Buy list. Buchanan and Kearney are two writers that I have really wanted to read but had not the chance until now. Hopefully I'll get it this christmas!

You can find me on twitter @steampunkcom.

  136. Honestly, all those bundles are books I WANT WANT WANT.

I'm gonna go with bundle 3 since it's the only bundle without a book I've already read. :D

  137. Bundle 2, for definite. Mostly for Boneshaker, admittedly, but The King's Bastard is a temptation, too. Does that count as a reason? I fear that it might be lacking a little... How about because once I've read, it I can pass it on to my son to help fuel further his current interest in Steampunk; thus ensuring that he eventually builds an elegant time machine?
