I think the only time I ever tried writing fiction was when I had to at school. I was always much more interested in drawing than writing (although I've always been a book worm) so if anything I would have loved to end up working as an illustratorSarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07491718306784046961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463395374040679379.post-20353699853063299522011-02-08T14:55:19.354+00:002011-02-08T14:55:19.354+00:00Great post.

I tried – I wrote a lot when I was young – but came to realise that I'm a better editor of fiction than I am writer of it, and that I am much better at writing criticism and reviews, and much happier doing that.Maureen Kincaid Spellerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06704546804680344783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8463395374040679379.post-34062716504026706762011-02-07T19:58:05.496+00:002011-02-07T19:58:05.496+00:00I think there's a lot of truth in the old adag...I think there's a lot of truth in the old adage that the first one million words are practice.
